There are some people who can help teen, if he gets into trouble.
Firstly, it’s his parents. They know their child from his birth and better then any other. They know all his features of the character and how he behaves in different situations. This knowledge and their personal life experience allow them to give useful advice to their child.
Secondly, friends can always help teen, too. They are people, whom he trusts all his problems. they always support him in difficult situation, trying to help him and save his positive mood.
Also, there are some problems, which teen can’t solve even with help of parents or friends. This way he should visit special psychological centres, where specialist will help him to find a solution of any problem.
Finally, if teen is afraid to discuss his problems face to face with somebody, he can try a free crisis hot call line or join one of the groups in the internet, where people concerned with similar problems together and help each other.

 If parents and teens can have common interests? 

 As famous proverb says: many sons take after their fathers not only in look, but also in character. It means, that when children become older, almost all of them are similar to their parents, especially if they have common interests. 

 If children have from the childhood interests in common with their parents like in sport, lifestyle, culture, art and other, it will be positive role model for teens. For example, if parents with their child visit museums and theatres, teach him to be polite, read or watch educational programmes, their child will grow up as educated person with hight cultural level.Attitude to the lifestyle can be the same, too. For example my mum is a vegetarian and I follow her example don’t eat meat, too. 

 In case when parents and children aren’t interested in the interests of each other, family isn’t able to be strong. All it’s members feel lonely, because their hobbies and interests aren’t shared. 

 Unfortunately, there can be a negative influence of common interests. There is a big risk, that child, whose parents smoke or drink, will participate in these activities, too. It can lead even to criminal activity of teen.

 So, you see, that common interests influence the future of the child.
